William A. Billups III, MD, FACS

Dr. Billups received his medical degree from University of Alabama-Birmingham and completed a general surgery residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX. Dr. Billups specializes in thyroid, endocrine, breast and gallbladder surgeries. Dr. Billups has been practicing medicine in Meridian since 1996.

Matt T. Coker, MD

Dr. Coker received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and completed his general surgery training at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX. Dr. Coker, who joined our practice in 2019, specializes in colorectal surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction.

Dr. Tulip received his medical degree from the University of Washington and completed his general surgery residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX. Dr. Tulip has a particular interest in robotic assisted surgery, acid reflux and hiatal hernia surgery, colorectal surgery and trauma surgery/critical care. Dr. Tulip has been practicing in Meridian since 2014.

R. Patrick Wood, MD

Dr. Wood attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he also completed his internship and residency in general surgery. Dr. Wood has been in practice in Meridian since 2024 and specializes in general and robotic surgery.

Samuel R. Guba, MD

Dr. Guba received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and completed a general surgery residency at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He also completed a fellowship in bariatric and foregut surgery at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Dr. Guba has a special interest in robotic assisted surgery, as well as bariatric and foregut procedures for conditions such as acid reflux. He also offers weight loss procedures including gastric bypass and gastric sleeve.
